Objectives:
- Design novel beam-steering antenna systems and algorithms for next-generation WLAN systems.
- Investigate fast multi-band, multi-beam hopping to optimize JSAC performance across mm-wave and sub-6 GHz bands with minimal overhead.
Expected Results:
- Cutting-edge antenna solutions and beam-steering techniques for WLAN JSAC.

Requirements
Education:
- Master’s degree (or equivalent) in Electrical, Electronic, or Telecommunications Engineering, with a focus on wireless systems, applied electromagnetics, signal processing, or related fields.
- Candidates expecting to graduate before the start date are eligible (indicate in application).
Skills/Qualifications:
- Self-sufficient, collaborative, highly motivated, and responsible with strong interpersonal skills.
- Proficient in English (written and spoken).
Merit Factors (Non-Mandatory):
- Experience in antenna design.
- Knowledge of Python, WLAN, Italian language.
- Publications in international conferences/journals.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Mobility: Must not have resided or worked in Italy for more than 12 months in the 3 years prior to recruitment.
- Career Stage: Must be a doctoral candidate (no prior PhD).
- English Proficiency: IELTS (6.5+), TOEFL-iBT (90+), or Cambridge CAE-C (CPE) required for non-native English speakers without English-language education.
- Exclusivity: Must work exclusively for this project.
